At the St. Nicholas Center for Children, we have an intake process to complete before a client can begin therapy. Below is a list of those steps.

- Free quick skills assessment is performed
- Parent meeting and consultation take place
- Obtain diagnosis and prescription
- Complete registration paperwork
- Receive insurance authorizations for evaluations
- Complete evaluation and assessment
- Create treatment plan
- Receive insurance authorizations for therapy
- Begin therapy

We accept the following health care insurance plans. Participation in these plans are subject to change. If your insurance plan is not listed, we may only be able to file for services as an out-of-network provider.

FAQs
Does my child need a Autism diagnosis to attend the St. Nicholas Center?
No, St. Nicholas Center provides services to children with varying diagnoses. For ABA therapy to be authorized by insurance plans, a child generally needs to have a documented diagnosis of Autism.
How long will my child need ABA therapy?
Each child grows and learns at a different rate. Our goal is to help your child reach the levels of his/her typically developing peers. How long that takes varies by each individual. The number of hours of therapy and the level of involvement by care givers and those in the child’s natural environment affect the rate of growth
What hours do you offer therapy?
We are open Monday- Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Schedules vary depending on the need of the child and family.
Who will be working 1:1 with my child?
Our staff consists of qualified professionals from education, psychology, sociology, and other related areas who have been trained in the methods of ABA-based therapy.
