The
Need

Autism affects the entire family, and as the number of children diagnosed with Autism increases, so does the need for access to services. We are here to provide acceptance, inclusion, support and advocacy.

Donate

Help our children reach their full potential! Often after a diagnosis of Autism, hope is the first thing lost, but it does not have to be. Your gift to St. Nicholas Center for Children helps us to provide services that expand their possibilities and hope for their future. There is no greater joy than seeing these children grow and learn every day. Your support makes the biggest difference in their lives, and we would not be here today without you. Thank you for believing in us, and more importantly, thank you for believing in our children!

All donations are tax deductible and can be made online, mailed or dropped off at St. Nicholas Center for Children.

Outreach Services

Our Outreach Program offers educational opportunities and emotional support to all those in the community, so that we can grow with compassion and confidence. We provided registered line technicians at local schools, parent/staff trainings and free workshops for teachers and daycare providers through outreach services.

We host the annual Louisiana Autism Conference, where more than 300 parents, educators, therapists, first responders and others come together to learn practical strategies to work with and care for individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Workshops cover topics from feeding disorders to dealing with challenging behaviors to implementing strategies and techniques in and out of the classroom. Everyone is learning about Autism, and Autism is ever changing. When you set aside the time to educate yourself and others, you help breakdown stigma barriers to create a more inclusive environment.

Get Involved

Despite growing awareness, the impact of Autism on the family budget is rarely discussed. To help our children and families lessen the burden, we host annual fundraisers and events as solutions and resources. The gifts of time, talents and treasures that people and businesses offer our children are vital to our operations and their continued progress! All of the proceeds and funds raised at our events benefit the children and families who receive therapy at St. Nicholas Center for Children.
